The Temples

We reached the temple and I smiled with relief. A man wearing scarlet and gold robes approached us. His head was shaved and sported unique tattoos. I bowed, "I am avatar Kei, of the North Water Tribe. I've brought these people in hopes that they can stay for a while. They are refugees from Ba Sing Se." I informed him.

"I am Monk Inuu, we have plenty of space for these people. Please, make your selves at home, we will show you where you can stay." He offered.

I bowed, "thank you."

We were led to a large spacious room. I had decided to share a room with my friends. I sat down on a cushion and yawned. Bato crawled up to me and Mero sat down beside me, scratching under Bato's chin. She rested her head on my shoulder and yawned.

I sat in a chair feeding Loco some berries. He kept doing tricks with the berries to get them into his mouth. I laughed for a few seconds.

Bato curled up on my lap and began to fall asleep. I slid down a bit and yawned shutting my eyes.
It was my first day with sight in over ten years, I was afraid I couldn't see when I woke up. I tried to fight falling asleep but I was exhausted and sleep came quickly.

While the others were asleep, I stood and removed my tunic. I crept to the door quietly and slipped out.

My eyes widend as Kei was sneeking out. I had nothing better to do and I was curious so I followed him.

I tip-toed out of the temple and looked around. I picked up a torch and held it up to light my way. I headed up to the center mountain, I walked quietly and plucked a moon peach from a tree and began to eat. I ducked under vines and branches and continued my slow steady walk.

I stayed back a good distance, I snapped my fingers and a small fire was lit. I kept real quiet trying not to make sounds. I watched him eat a moon peach, then I followed him quietly through the vines and branches.
